Rebel

This post is for Ryan. If you want a cheaper camera that literally does everything the 40D does, but want to be able to hold it..... the key is buy the accessory - the battery pack grip ($100). I have one on my Rebel XTi, and it feels like a big Pro camera. The new Rebel XSi (450D) is slightly larger with a new battery grip. The battery grip holds two batteries instead of one, making a full day of shooting very easy! here's a picture of the new rebel. Looks pretty much like the one I have.

Another great thing about the battery grip is that is has a vertical shutter button, along with several other exposure-lock buttons etc., so that when you turn the camera sideways, you have a new set of handy buttons. The 50mm 1.4 you have is awesome! I used to have a 1.2 on my old film Canon. This time around, I opted for the 1.8 at $89! Still great spot focusing. Here's my lsens line-up: By the way, the Image Stabilized lens I have is awesome! I want more of those!

Canon 50 mm 1.8
Canon 17-85 IS 4.0-5.6
Sigma 28-80 2.8
Sigma 70-300 macro 4-5.6
Sigma 70-200 2.8 (best lens I own!)

One of these days. I'll post a picture of my whole setup. I'm wanting some lighting this year. I have Canon's top-of-the-line on camera flash (580EXII) with some diffusers and such.....awesome! But I want some studio stuff.

My next lens will be a fast one (2.8 or faster). I want an L-series lens.

Anyway....let's talk camera stuff some more! Maybe via e-mail though.....this stuff will bore other people!

was this meant as a HAH you spent an extra 700 dollars on your camera, SUCKER!

the better build quality is worth it for me :) and it comes with a great kit lens, which is a nice change

dude. look on craigs list for some extra flashes. you can pick em up cheap. you dont need nice ones, but you use them as extra light coming form a direction other than the camera. its so much fun to play with.
