Symbolic Blaze

Many of you may remember some of the pictures I have posted here before of the Dan River Fabrics Mill buildings being torn down. This was a major employer in our city for many years, and has gone out of business. Today, another of the mill complexes burned down. I haven't heard what the cause of the fire was, but it brought many people to the Union Street Bridge to watch it burn. The wind made it a difficult fight for the firemen. This complex is one of the historic symbols of our city, and seeing the inferno inside was sad.
