Blue Ridge Institute

I was invited last year to join a special group of non-profit executives in the southeastern states, The Blue Ridge Institute. I attended this year's summit at Black Mountain, North Carolina. It's a leadership summit, but filled with recreation as well. Highlights included my climb to the top of "High Windy," which is a 4,000 ft. elevation. It was a 6-mile hike, and took everything out of me.

I also played an interesting percussion instrument for a 4-time Grammy winner, David Holt. I ended up playing percussion for him for about half his concert. He appeared on over 50 episodes of Hee-Haw, and can be seen in the movie "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?".

sounds like fun! Well, I wouldn't consider the hike fun, especially in my 8th month of pregnancy :) but I bet you enjoyed it even if it did take everything out of you!
I think I recognize that guy. That instrument looks interesting.
PS I did email you and never heard back.
