I love ya Kathi, but this is definitely a pegion. Maybe not an American Trenton but definitely a pigeon. The American Trenton has a history of being bred and trained for long distance racing which might explain the ankle bracelet.
my first thought was a pigeon too. though I don't have enough time on my hands to go searching for what type ;)
