I've been going through a DVD course on Photoshop for Digital Photographers, and I needed a photo to practice on. I happened to see this on Erin's blog (and knew it was just a fun shot that she didn't take time to color correct, etc.) She obviously took it of herself in a mirror. (Nice new haircut by the way!)
So, here are the Before and After versions after just a little work in the mighty Photoshop. Amazing huh? of course, Google blogger muddies them up a bit, but you get the idea. Now if I can learn to get those super sharp, clear images Erin gets of her kids and stuff, I'll be getting somewhere.

yeah, photoshop is wonderful :) I couldn't live without it I think. Have you tried Lightroom? I think it's a must for photographers. You should try the trial if you haven't. I love it and have so many presets it's so much fun to fool around with my photos now!
nice, hey do you ever shoot RAW? if you don't yet, it will change your life.
adobe camera raw is the greatest program ever invented.
you guys think you're so creative with your cameras and your photoshop and your Lightroom, and your RAW shots.
i freaking want lightroom! do you have it, ashley?? jealous.
this is hilarious b/c i SO was not expecting to see my photo here. lol. pretty accurate! adam totally hates that photo of me... says i look weird. haha.
oh yes, raw is sooooooooo amazing! i was scared of it until just recently. although, i won't really use it unless it's for a session or important photos.
Erin, I thought you would laugh when you saw this! I shoot almost exclusively in RAW. I use a 16GB card so as to have plenty of room for it! And I use Adobe Camera Raw religiously! I have tried Lightroom, but didn't spend much time with the trial version. I may try it again, but PhotoShop CS3 pretty much does everything I need.
I don't have lightroom, just got a trial from a friend so it lasts through August I think. I've been using it a lot and love it so much. Yes, I can acheive most of it in PS but Lightroom is soooo much faster and so I think if I were a photographer I would really want to have it. I find it most useful for fixing my dark photos but also fun for cool effects. You have to have lots of presets though, that is what makes Lightroom so fun. It took me a little work to figure out how to use it but I do love it!
